So I know i've been pretty bad at updating this. I get busy and caught up in everything that's going on and I just forget.

 So here's a little update on my life:

 

I turned 21 on tuesday. It was cool, I went to the AC Lounge with a few friends and had a couple drinks, nothing huge. Hopefully I will be doing that next weekend, and  I will let you guys know when and where.

 

I have recently been announce as the Artistic Director and Head Photographer of a newley formed high fashion modeling agency, Jiro Tirano.

With that comes a lot of responsibilty, and a lot of time off my hands taking pictuers and editing them for my model's portfolios. Yes my models. Being artistic director basically gives me total control over all the models and I am in charge of all their media and shoots. So it's a lot of work. And at the moment there is no pay because we don't make any money till the models start making money. But once they do I don't have to do much and the money keeps rolling in. Which will be nice.

 

Other than that work and school are going as normal. We just got our paper accepted to Developental Cell, and it will probably be published on June 10th. I was an author on that paper, which is awesome to be an undergraduate, not even at a real university and have an authorship on an paper in a major scientific journal.

 

Oh and by the way instead of 'bringing back tabulas' I say we bring Webtape. Or we can do both at the same time. But be sure to check out webtape. Jeff Micklos came up with the idea in november and got it up and running this earlier this week, so let's get it rollin!

to some new albums. I'm currently listening to "I Will Possess Your Heart" by Death Cab and it's beautiful. I am excited to hear the rest of the album and will make sure to listen to it via FLAC or the cd. I'm sure I'll buy Narrow Stairs because I have to support a band I listen to all the time.

I've also already purchased Phantom Planet's new album. I preordered the 7" vinyl. It ships tomorrow and the album is officially released on the 15th. They said recording this album was like they were recording their first and they will have a brand new sound. From what I've heard it sounds very different but at the same time it is Phantom Planet and they can't get away from that. It's the same band we all love with more of a rock/grunge twist. So I am also looking forward to that.

What's some new music you guys are looking forward to in the near future?

I am always freakin late to everything. Usually it's just like a couple minutes or so, but it all depends on what it is. Band practice I can range form being 15 mins to an hour and a half late, class usually like 15 mins, church 5 mins, work... well sometimes I don't even show up, haha. Bottom line, I suck at being on time.

This morning I woke up at 8:05, class started at 8, and it takes me 15 mins to get there. So I got ready, figured I was already late and it didnt matter. It was my photo class and I had the architecture assignment due, but my printer is low on gray ink and prints like shit, so I have to print at school. I wlaso had to turn in our reasearch for our color project, which I hadn't done. So I did that and went to class. Turns out the architecture was pushed back till tuesday and the reasearch is just looked at today and not collected till we turn in the color project. So I was off the hook.

 

ps. 2 days ago I cut my hair, buzzed it, #2 all the way around. It's really weird going from hair that covers my eyes to absolutely no hair at all. But I like not having to spend time doing my hair in the morning. Not to mention I look good with a buzzed head.

all i have to say in this one is that i know im a heart breaker. i try really hard not to be, i swear. the last thing i want to do is break a girls heart, but yea it happens and i dont mean it to. they just get too attached when im not and then i hurt their feelings and it's no good.

i could be one of those guys that just doesnt care and just messes around w/ every girls i can get with and could care less if i break her heart, but i do care, and i cant be one of those guys. sure i dont date as much or have as many girlfriends but i think it's better to have a few that i really care about thatn a bunch and most of them i dont care about at all, im jsut not one of those guys.

wow, i havent posted in over a month. i've been super busy though lately. im trying to make time for school, track, theater, and soon work, and friends and family. it gets pretty tough, im kinda lacking on the sleep now, because i stay up late every night and wake up early every morning. i havent even had time to go surfing in a while. but im having a pretty good life right now, things are going well.

school is fine, im kinda over it, but its still good to go and see everyone while i still can, before they all leave for college. pole vault is going prett well too, for those of you who care. and theater is going good. prom is may 7th, im super excited. it's probably one of the only things ive been excited for in a while. i dont get excited too easily anymore, maybe it's my lack of sleep or something, but its weird, so i guess it's really good when i am excited about something.

its pretty awesome, im gettin a job at the saulk institute in la jolla as a lab assistant in the plant biology lab. the only problem with this is that i might not have the time to do anymore plays w/ yat. so im trying to decide how many hours im gonna work there and if ill be able to do yat around it or if i should just work a lot of hours and not worry about yat. i dont know, i guess ill just see how things work out.

i suck at this journal thing. i never use it and the only time i do is to complain about something, which if you havent noticed i happen to be doing right now.

i dont really like to complain, you'll almost never see me complaining, so i guess i gotta let it out somewhere, so i guess this is the place for it.

thats probably why most of my journal entries involve me complaining about how something sucks, or me being really emo and stuff, just cause i dont have someone to talk to about that stuff at the time.


but onto a more recent topic, things are getting crazy right now.

i got back from tour and that next school day track started, and i have had rehearsals for beauty and the beast almost every night, so i pretty much go to school in the morning and dont get home until around 9 or 10 each night. im just glad i havent had much homework otherwise i dont think id have time to do it.

im having a lot of fun doing the show though, im really glad steph pulled me into it. theres a ton of cool people in YAT, some weird ones too, but theres always some weird ones. we have like 2 days to opening night, im kinda scared, i think we'll get it together though.

im glad track started again, im ready for a good year, im gonna work really hard to jump well this year. the only bad thing is we dont have a vaulting coach this year. kara comes and helps out but she doesnt really count cause she isnt there everyday to help us and give us workouts and stuff. so we are pretty much on our own. i kinda like that though because i can push myself and the other vaulters, and i can keep up the intensity level.

well it's about 36 hours till we leave for tour now, i'm so excited. we are spending 10 days in germany and austria. ill take a lot of pictures so you guys can see them when i get back. so later guys, see you in 10 days.

i guess this is life. as we grow older we become busier as our time gets filled w/ activites. education, work, sports, etc. the more things we become involved with, the busier we are, and the less free time we have to spend w/ friends. friendships based on spending free time together are lost and new friendships are formed with the people activities are shared with. i'm sorry you've been lost, i can only wish that we can soon be busy together.
